I couldn’t stand it anymore. Not being content to continue and/or finish Xenoblade Chornicles DE, or to really squeeze out all of the juice from Ys vs Trails, I’ve decided to add another game straight onto my plate… Trails in the Sky: First Chapter! That’s right, I played through the demo earlier this year last year and adored it. I recently picked up the Switch 1 version on a sale, along with a new Ys game that I also debated on playing but this won out! So come, let us continue our journey where the demo left off, let’s investigate the disappearance of the sky blimp containing Estelle and Joshua’s father!
I was actually going to wait a little while before I started the writeup but something happened that caught me off guard and I just had to write it up. We met a goddamned bard that decided to break out into song in the middle of a fight between an army general and Scherazard. Its such a goofy moment leveraged by the charm of a character we hadn’t even been properly introduced to. This is part of the reason that I was so drawn to the demo; the characters and their personalities are front and center.
